Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are you the same gals I met at the farmers market selling saltysoaps? Did you change your name? Yes, if you found us at a farmers market we are so happy 
  • you have joined us here. We did switch from a parent name of Saltysoaps, to CapeLilly.avoid confusion once our skin care products were added. Same great Saltysoaps can be found here, along with our newer skin care lotions and balms.
  • Do you test on animals?  No, we do not test on animals or use ingredients from companies that do animal testing.  We are a certified  Leaping Bunny approved Cruelty Free Company.
  • Are your products Vegan?   Yes, we use no animal products or beeswax in any of our products. 
  • Are your products REALLY NATURAL? Yes, all of our ingredients are natural and most are locally sourced. We use a natural based preservative in only our HA serum due to its water content. 
  • What type of fragrance to you use? We only use botanical infusions and essential oils for fragrance and these are selected based on the holistic intention of the specific product?
  • Your products are much cheaper then I was paying, too good to be true?  We create our own products and sell directly do the consumer eliminating a third party results in direct  consumer savings. 
  • Are your soaps, balms and lotions gluten free? All of our products are Gluten free except for our Colloquial Oatmeal soap and cream. We take care to make these with separate utensils, supplies and vessels to avoid cross contamination with our other products. However, we are not a gluten free only company and as such cross contamination can occur.
  • How much is shipping?  We offer a 5.00 flat rate shipping for orders under 30.00 and free shipping for orders over 30.00 within the US. International orders are calculated at check out by weight.
  • I have a different question about the ingredients: Please see the ingredient list with each product. Our business hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (EST)  Please also note we do not give out or publish the exact percentage of ingredients, nor a detailed method of making.  This information is patent pending. 
  • Will your works bar cure eczema, psoriasis, diabetic sores? Our soaps are not a medicine. The FDA has strict guidelines regarding labeling of products that change the composition of skin, our soaps do not fall in that category. Many of our customers and we ourselves, have found Salty Soaps can greatly reduce the redness and irritation caused by these issues by cleansing and moisturizing the skin.
  • How are Saltysoaps items shipped?  We currently use First Class, USPS Priority Mail for Domestic Orders. We ship to Canada First Class International or Priority International Shipping. Domestically is free over 30.00 and all other shipping fees are flat rate.
  • How can I track my orders? When you create an account, you will be able to access your order and tracking information for all your purchases. 
  • How long will it take to get my order?  Previously, during peak times it could take up to a week to ship orders. We have recently increased our production and most orders are shipped out within 24-48 hours. If we are out of stock for a particular soap, we will let you know, ship what is available, and ship, at our cost, the remainder of the order when it is ready.
  • I would like to find out about Wholesale rate. Please contact us with your request, along with your State Business Registered ID. We have a wholesale minimum, and require authorization. Please email us at
  • Does you offer product samples?  We frequently include product samples when we ship purchased items. Unfortunately we are unable to ship samples separately due to the volume of requests that we receive.
  • Where are your located? We operate Salty Soaps in our Boston and Cape Cod studios. At this time we do not have a store location but it is in our 2 year plan. 
  • Returns: We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not, please contact us with the reason, and we will replace it with another item.  Simply return the merchandise in its original, new, unopened condition with the sales receipt and a note stating your reason for return.
  • Incorrect, Damaged or Lost Goods: Please contact us if there is a problem with your order, and we will make it right.
